Sotto Voce

We had approximately 54 people listening to Sotto Voce at St. Tim’s Lutherin Church. There were 31 singers and the sound was marvelous. I wanted to express my great appreciation to each and everyone of those who sang not only at St. Tims, but also at the Arts Express for over 700 students.

When I consider the fact that many of you made special arrangements to either leave work or to arrange your busy lives just to participate in Sotto Voce,  I am deeply humbled and blessed with such wonderful singers as well as friends.

Should we develop more opportunities to perform at other venues, we will pull from the numbers we have been singing, plus some added ones we will be learning (There is a Mosses Hogan piece entitled My Soul’s Been Anchored in the Lord which is very upbeat, but tricky in syncopations at the 16th note level, more about that later. There is also an extended medley entitled Gershwin and Porter on Love which includes many of the great hits of these two composers.)

Again, Thank you for your dedication to making music and for doing so through giving of your time and musical talent.

Don D’Angelo
